I joined NCSA after spending over a decade embedded in college sports. I was born and raised in San Diego, California, where I played baseball and soccer in high school. As the first person in my entire family to try and play sports at the college level, I had no knowledge of the recruiting process, but was lucky enough to make the team at one of my local junior colleges, San Diego Mesa College, after trying out. With no idea as to how to make a university team, my parents stumbled upon NCSA after my first season of college soccer. Even though I had started the process five years too late, NCSA helped me find a home at the University of Saint Katherine in San Marcos, CA to continue my college career. From there, I was able to get my Master’s Degree from Point Loma Nazarene University.

After seven years working in college sports administration, part of what brought me back to NCSA is the chance to make an impact. As if finding a place to go to college wasn’t a daunting enough task, we often don’t realize that choosing where to go to college will have affects long past the four years you spend there. I know firsthand how impactful using NCSA was on the course of my life, and I’m excited to now be helping families have that same experience!
