When I was 9 years old, my closest friends started playing travel softball. Of course I asked my Dad if he can sign me up. When I went to tryouts that day, I soon realized that I wasn't the best player on the team, but that's what pushed me to become better. That season, I went from being at the bottom of the line up to leadoff. Learning that not being the best player on the team pushed me to become great. Not only did it push me on the field, it taught me to push myself in school, to take risk and to take those harder classes.
Playing softball has taught me to be humble, selfless, and patient. A coach once told me that in a weight room, you will more than likely fail, but its how you over come it. I have learned that failing is apart of the sport, but having a short mind and letting a bad play go is how you keep moving. I used to get caught up in the past and how I can change it, then I realized that I can't change the past, and no one can. Its how you grow from it and get better.
