My name is Evi Edwards and I am in the class of 2022. I attend Pell City High School in Pell City, Alabama. I became interested in softball at a young age due to the influence of my best friend. I had been playing soccer but soon learned my true passion was softball. My parents encourage me to do my absolute best in everything I do, including school. I am a 4.0 student and am ranked in the top 15% of my class with activity in BETA Club, SGA, and Spanish Club. My goal is to be in the top 10% by graduation. I am involved in my church where I participate in missions and volunteer activities. I also work at my church daycare facility where I utilize my lifeguard certification in overseeing their swim activities
Softball has taught me about teamwork, attitude and discipline. I have learned that you cannot always control what happens, but rather how you react to it. The relationships I have made through softball are still my closest friends on or off the field. I have played nearly all of the infield positions, including catcher, over the past 10 years. that experience developed me as a good utility player but I excel at the corners.
In college I plan to major in Education and hope to coach softball for the school system in which I teach. Through my experiences at the daycare, I realize I want to be involved with children and help nurture an interest in the sport I have grown to love
