Hi, my name is Megan Poole and I'm the catcher for the Calgary Kaizen 01 travel team.
As a catcher I take pride in leading the team, learning from my coaches and from fellow teammates. I have been playing softball for 9 years and every year I fall more in love with the sport. My secondary position is second base which is a good complement to catching. I work hard in my hitting and take pride in being a contact hitter with some opposite field power.
I'm going into my senior year in high school and I'm enrolled in French Immersion which allows me to graduate with a bilingual certificate. I like the challenge of the sciences, sports medicine and especially a new language of Spanish. I spend some of my free time volunteering to be an athletic trainer with other athletes and work with disabled students. My plan is to have a career in Sport Medicine as a physiotherapist along with playing softball at an elite level.
I look forward to hearing from you, I would love to discuss further on how I can be good student-athlete and asset to your team.
