Hello, my name is Abby Maetche. I am a 17 year old softball player who lives in Olds, Alberta, Canada. I played softball for the Olds Pistols U17A team and have just made the Calgary Kaizen U19A team. I train with the Alberta Elite winter team. I love being a pitcher and playing 1st base as well as hitting. I often bat in 4th or 5th position on my team. Competing in provincials throughout my softball years and earning U10A gold, U12A bronze and U16A silver provincial medals have been some of my biggest highlights playing softball so far.
I strive to play at the highest level possible and am determined to play my best at each and every practice and game. I pride myself on being a good teammate and coachable player. Playing at a university or college level is my primary goal for softball. I am a dedicated athlete and while softball is my main sport focus, I have also played hockey and enjoy shot put, discus, downhill skiing and various watersports as well.
Although sports are very important to me, I also value academics. I am an honor roll student and look forward to becoming an asset to a college or university team that values both athletics and academics. Thank you!
