I started playing softball in a small town recreation league at the age of eight. As I grew up I wanted more competition. I wanted to play on a better team, I wanted to be a starter, and I wanted to feel the exhilaration of a strike out as much as possible. This is when I started to work harder on my skills. Once I started to see improvement I never wanted to stop. This is when I knew that I want to play Softball at the collegiate level. I learned commitment and dedication, I learned struggle, defeat, and also triumph. This was what made me not only the athlete I am today, but the person I am. I now know that if I put in the work I can achieve anything, both in and out of sport. My goal is to continue improving and overcoming obstacles. I would like to find a team that I can play for while getting a good education, as academics are also important to me. Softball has made me who I am, it is my favorite thing, and I want to continue to play as long as I can.
