Hi, my name is Amy Webre and I am a junior at Parkview High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. I have played softball for 11 years now. I started in slow pitch and learned lots of things from it, but finally transferred to fast pitch my freshman year at Parkview. I played second and pitcher at slow pitch. In fastpitch last year, I played center field, left field, second, and as a relief pitcher, started each game, and stayed on field start to finish.
Since last year, I’ve gotten stronger, faster, and quicker to learn new things every practice. I’m currently working with my coach on pitching which has been practiced since the beginning of Summer. I ALWAYS have a good attitude and am very eager to learn new techniques whenever they may come. I constantly look forward to practicing with the team or by myself in the cages.
My collegiate goals are to be able to balance my education and softball equally. I aspire to improve everyday in both subjects. I would be a good candidate because I always maintain a positive attitude and am open to learning new things. I am a very determined person who never gives up which a lot of other recruits fail to do.
Softball has been one of my favorite things throughout these 11 years, which includes the challenges and hardships I’ve experienced. I’m ready to improve and I believe I have the determination and skill for a competitive college team.
Sincerely,
Amy Webre
