Personal Statement

I am a coachable and dedicated player, very interested in growth and development as an athlete, and in playing for as long as I am able.  I hope to obtain my degree in Psychology, eventually working in Sports Psychology with other female athletes.

Here is a bit about me:

- I am a power-hitting catcher/utility player from British Columbia, Canada.  I am 5’7" and weigh around 160lbs.

- I graduated high school in 2023, with a cumulative GPA of 3.83, and my SAT score was 1050 in my grade 11 year.

- I have a passion for softball- not just playing, but in the details of the game itself and increasing my sharp softball IQ.

- I was the starting catcher for the U19 Team BC softball team in 2023, competing in the NAIGs (North American Indigenous Games) and bringing bringing home the bronze medal.

-  I started my ball career in baseball at a young age, and only started playing club softball for the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 seasons.  I believe that my years as a baseball catcher contribute to my strength and abilities at, and behind, the softball plate.

- I played in the BC Baseball’s U21 Women’s Invitational Championships in 2022, bringing home a silver medal.

- I played high school basketball and was one of our starting point guards, using my strength to help our team advance to Provincials.

- I have helped with a number of community activities such as helping run winter ball clinics, teaching younger athletes how to catch.

- I have received awards from my former Athletic Director for participating in school sporting events with things like score keeping, officiating where I can, setting up and taking down equipment, etc.

I would love to chat more with you, feel free to email me back here or text/call me at 236-594-2288.
