Dejanae Davis '18 Recruiting Profile

When I was 8-years old I received a flyer at school for tryouts for the Cerritos Girls Softball Association program.  What a bleessing ~ I have been playing the game of softball ever since! 

Playing competitive softball has shown me what hard work, dedication, time-management,  and determination mean. 

I am a player that loves being challenged.  I am very coachable and am a hard-working athlete.  I consider myself very competitive once I am on the field.  I will dive for the ball, and run my fastest each and everytime I am on the field.  

I have a 3.8 GPA – striving to be the best student possible.  My education is important to me, so a high academic college education is what I am seeking. 

Currently, I am a sophomore on the Varsity softball team at Gahr High School in Cerritos, California.  Last year, as a freshman I was the starting shortstop and leadoff batter.  This year, I continue to hold those spots.  I can truly say that I am enjoying my team, coaches, the competition, and the experience.

During my time off from playing softball, I enjoy listening to music, reading, exercising, spending time with my friends, and catching up on some of my favorite tv series.  Family is important to me and always will be.  I enjoy our annual family camping trips and love being outside.
