I was playing soccer when I tried softball and fell in love with it at the age of 10 years old. I've had to work very hard to overcome obstacles in life not only on the field but also in the classroom. Through my determination I am excelling at both. Attending ASA Nationals as a 14 year-old really grew me as a team player. Even though we finished 12th, it taught me a lot about the values of teamwork, commitment, and sacrifice. Through these values it has made me a strong student-athlete and even better teammate.
I volunteer with a local recreational league helping to develop future players, MS walks in Sacramento and Folsom, Ca and at my church with the annual crab feed. I am the youngest recipient of the SJUSD You Light the Way Award, given to those who go above and beyond for students with special needs.
