July 2023Personal Statement
Going to softball try-outs at 7 years old and hearing them announce, if any girl would like to try out to be a pitcher, please walk to the mound. I went without hesitation. Not even being aware of where my parents were....who were already at the car. Not knowing how to pitch, not knowing the rules of pitching and not knowing if I could even reach the plate throwing underhand, I threw the three pitches that they asked of me and low and behold they were all strikes! Ever since then, softball and I have become inseparable.
My goals for college are to play competitive division 1 softball. I want to be a starting and dominating pitcher who always has a presence on the mound. I want to get good grades and graduate with a degree with interest in either Business or Sports Broadcasting.
I, Bayle Hunnicutt, would be a great candidate for your softball program because of my leadership skills, my hard work and dedication, my work ethic and my loud cheering voice!
What sets me apart from my teammate is my commitment, my desire to compete at the highest level, my ability to keep my composure during intense situations, my height and my ability to move and place the ball where I want it .
