Samantha Hogancamp '18 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coach,

I hope you are doing great! I’m Samantha Hogancamp and I am writing to let you know that I am extremely interested in playing softball at the next level when I graduate from high school.  I am currently a junior at Tesoro High School in Las Flores, California and play for the USA Athletics Travel team based in Signal Hill, California.  If you are looking for a catcher who is a team leader, can work with pitchers, and has a big bat than I think I am the type of player you are looking for!

I currently have a cumulative GPA of 4.3 and I finished my fall semester of my junior year with a 4.6 GPA. Being a student athlete has definitely taught me to balance my time, which has prepared me for college.  With my demanding academic schedule, in addition to all the travel I have been fortunate to do with my Travel Softball team,  I am extremely proud of my grades.  The commitment level has not always been easy, but it has taught me a great deal about myself.  In addition, I have an aunt who played Division I Volleyball, an uncle who played Division I Water Polo, and through conversations with both we have been able to discuss the pro, cons, challenges, and joys of representing my college or university as a student athlete.

I am excited about being able to have that opportunity at the next level!  Through my hard work, dedication, and family values I feel that I have prepared myself well.
