Kennedy Proctor '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi,

I'm Kennedy Proctor, #37 and I am the starting catcher for Firecracker - Brahsear 16U premier team. I also play the outfield. This will be my forth season with the team. I also played one season with the So Cal Athletics, where I was also the catcher and centerfielder.

I live in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. I have been playing softball since I was 4 years old. I love the game and the competition. I play hard, I play to win and I play for the team.  

I batted in the 4 spot this past season, and our team had a great season going 35-9-1. My personal stats were, Batting 520, Slugging 908, On-base percentage 538,  only one strikeout with 96 at-bats, 27 singles, 16 doubles, 2 triples, 6 home runs (three over the fence), one hit by pitch, and five walks.

My dream is to make it on a D-1 team.  I made the team at my high school, but due to Covid, we have not done much. Still waiting to see if I made varsity, which is my goal. 

I am dedicated and I work hard. I  go to a personal trainer twice a week, I also go weekly to a private catching coach (Jay McGowen and Terra McGowen, when she's home. She's the catcher for the University of Oregon, Ducks) and a hitting coach, Priscilla Sarmiento. 

When I'm not competing on the field or training, I like to hang out with my friends and do everyday stuff like going to the beach, hanging out at the mall, hanging out with my family, and playing with my dogs. I am doing well in school and currently have a 3.67 GPA.
