I've been playing softball for 8 years. I started playing on Park teams and played multiple positions. I began playing for King Drew Magnet High School Softball Varsity in the 9th grade. Last year, our team made it to the playoff and the championship. This year our record is 16-3. Participation in softball gives young ladies a fun and practical way to learn about goal settings. A chance to learn this skill provides a better opportunity of succeeding. Not only on the field, but in life. My academics have improved a great deal, knowing the efforts I've demonstrated on the field, I must parlay that same skills in school. Often times I must balance school, family and softball. School academics plays an important role in succeeding. I'm an all-round athlete. I'm able to play all positions. At this this moment on my high school varsity team, I'm a Utility player. I have been timed under 10 seconds in running the bases. I can bat left and right. slap and bunt. My collegiate and aspirations goals are to be granted an scholarship to play on a college softball. My chosen field of study is Criminology and potentially becoming a Detective.
