2020 Devin Waddel...Personal Statement
My goal is to compete for collegiate softball titles while pursuing an elite education. I am an extremely driven and passionate athlete who serves my team in any role necessary. Former UCLA coach, Sue Enquist, once explained the "33% rule:" there are three types of players in this world. The bottom third always complain, the middle third crumble when adversity strikes, the top third and highest 1% always spew positivity. I am that top 1%. I am not happy from materialistic successes but because I live life without complaining, grateful everyday for the game and this journey.
