Hey coaches! My name is Kelsey Oviatt and I am a 2024 graduate and my primary positions are catcher and third base. One of my goals is to play collegiate softball and to just ball out. I want to pursue my dream of playing collegiate softball and while I'm doing it I really just wanna go out there and have fun but also compete at a high level. Something that makes me a good candidate for your team is the fact that I am hard working on and off the field. I am always looking for that extra rep in practice and I am always trying to nip pick my skills to make them the best they can be. Not only am I trying to physically make myself better, I watch as much softball as I can to improve my softball IQ and I am working on my mental game whenever I can. I not only perform on the field, but in the classroom too. I have made the principal's honor role both years of high school with a 4.0 GPA. Another thing that will set me apart is that I am always trying to give back to my community. During the spring of 2022 I coached a 10u recreational softball team for the league that I started in. Without that league I would not be where I am today so it felt very good to give back to the community that made me who I am today.
Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to read my personal statement. -Kelsey Oviatt, 2024 grad, Catcher/thrid base.
