I am detail oriented, I make sure I am well prepared for everything; school, softball, and life. I cheer loud to make sure my teammates know I have their back and to show that I am focused on the game. Regardless if I'm in or out, I will always cheer and give a 100% and beyond. My academic goals for high school is to do my best and achieve the highest GPA I can (currently it is a 3.8) My passion is for public service, criminology, history/archaeology, and languages. I also have an artistic passion, I like to paint landscapes and still art and want to look into acting. Everyone goes through some rocky roads to get to who they are. My rocky roads influenced my to become a better person by treating everyone with kindness even if that kindness is not returned. “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothing at all.” That is why I try my best to avoid speaking poorly about others because if words hurt can me, than it can hurt others. My dad was a firefighter and he has taught me from a very young age to always help others.
I was 10 when I was introduced to this amazing sport by one of my good friends. That was the start of what is going to be a big part of my life. I love the thrill, the hardships, how softball is it’s own world, and the new friends I can make. I have been playing softball for the past five years, I am a utility player with a great throwing arm. I play wherever the team needs me. I have learned from this sport to be loud and confident, to believe in others, and to learn to let go (if I make a mistake than move on),
There is always something to learn, to respect, how to set goals, perservedces, leadership, and most important to relish every moment. I think enjoying every moment is very important, because it can all vanish right before your eyes. Once I was hit with a hard thrown ball to the face. It hit me between my nose and eye and bones were broken. I was restricted from any physical activity for 6 weeks because it may have lead to permiten eye damage. I felt ‘torchered’ as the sport I loved went on and I could not be apart of it. During that time, I found other ways to be apart of the team. I went to every practice, every game to watch and make notes to came back a stronger player. With in those 6 weeks I began to develop a new resolve to be the best softball player I can be.
