I am excited to announce my commitment to play softball for the University of California, Berkeley!
My name is Holly Medina (Holls), and I will graduate with the class of 2023. I am a utility player who plays middle infield, outfield, and I am a triple threat left-handed hitter.
At home, I am an only child who is constantly active. It has always been my priority to maintain a good balance between my social life, academic life, as well as my athletic life. It is important to me that I am prepared to balance my studies, my training, while living my best college life, all in my "pursuit of happiness." I am currently in season at Oak Hills High School for volleyball, while still working out with my high-school softball team during the week. On weekends I spend my time with my travel softball team, Firecrackers Rico. While balancing all of these activities along with school, I feel prepared for what college life has in store for me.
One thing I am looking for most when choosing a college is a town with lots of school pride. I am also looking forward to being active in sports and school activities. After I graduate high school, my goals in college are to be able to play softball at the highest level while also studying business athletics to eventually own my own business possibly in the sports and fitness industry.
Thank you for your consideration, I am looking forward to this recruiting process and my college future.
