Personal Statement

I am a transfer outfielder looking to continue playing softball at the next level after this final season at Butte College. After stepping away from softball I rediscovered my love for the game last season at Butte College. With only a roster of twelve we boasted a 43-3 record and shattered several offensive records in our conference and a few in the entire state.

Personally, returning to softball was the best decision I have ever made. Despite my team's success and my personal success on the field, returning to a family dynamic with my teammates and coaches is the best benefit of playing collegiate softball. I strive to be a team leader and I am hoping we can have another historic season here at Butte College and then go on to play somewhere at the next level. I am super competitive and a hard worker on and off the field and I would love to continue to do that at a four year level.

My team, 18u Foothill Gold-Stinson, and the professional softball team, the Scrap Yard Dawgs, are putting on a clinic at Folsom High School. There are two sessions, one for older girls which I will be participating in and a second session for younger girls which I will help run. This clinic features several professional softball players from the team including Monica Abbott and Nerissa Myers.

I only play basketball for fun, but this year I got pulled up to varsity for my school and the game got much more competitive. I love competing on the court and trying my best... Even where some of my basketball skills lack. :)
