“Sometimes we have to do the work even though we don't yet see a glimmer on the horizon that it's actually going to be possible.” -Angela Davis
I am a MIF, OF, and catcher. I am currently attending Redlands high school. Communication and working with others has never been something I'm unable to do. I'm a strong student athlete who's able to take on the task of having two full time careers. I take AP classes and strive to get straight A's. Besides playing high school softball, I also currently play travel ball for Corona Angels Slye 18u. As a middle infielder I am willing to put my body in front of the ball and defend it in order to make the play. I have great range and will always give my all to get to the ball. When put in the outfield I understand that I’m the last line of defense and I need to get the ball in quick. As a catcher I feel like I’ve been looked down on a lot because of my size, but I don’t let that stop me from showing everyone my skills. I’m quick to the ball, great at blocking, and able to lead the field. I am a right side hitter and my main focus is to get on base anyway possible to help my team. I'm loud and have great communication skills. I know how to come back from mistakes and move forward in order to help my team be the best it can. Whenever any of my teammates are down, as a leader, I make it one of my priorities to motivate them to get them back in the game. I take every opportunity I can to work and get better. I'm the type of person to put it all on the line for something I'm dedicated to. I promise nothing but my 110% and will always strive for perfection so in the process I can reach excellence. Softball has taught me so much about dedication, leadership, working well with others, and never giving up. My biggest dream is to give back to the game. When I graduate in 2025 I'll be ready to lay it all out on the college field.
Thank you coaches for taking the time to read this and putting me into consideration to be in your program!
