Darcy Miller '26 Recruiting Profile

My coaches have consistently praised my work ethic, coachability, and team-first mentality. I am a 4.4 GPA student, ranked 2/472 in my class, who plays OF/Util for Firecrackers Leles 2026. I have worked hard on my overhand throw velocity and have a personal record of 72 mph. My current national rankings include: Line Drive Media Hot 100 Player Rankings for Class of 2026 (#93); Class of 2026 Position Rankings (#34 Outfielder). In the West, I have been ranked by Line Drive Media as the #31 overall player in Region 5 (West - Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Washington) and Extra Innings Softball ranked me as the #20 Outfielder in the West.

While it is not easy to balance my rigorous academic schedule with elite travel softball, I challenge myself to jump into new experiences (I’m playing tennis for the first time this year, on my high school team), maintain a job (I’m a youth umpire for my local softball league), and pick up hobbies that allow me to develop new skills (like guitar). I also make time to volunteer for my church’s Youth Leadership Program, which plans and implements youth ministry programs, and for the All Stars program of my local recreational softball league. It may sound like I have bitten off more than I can chew, but I thrive most when I am active and busy. 

All of these traits make me well suited to a college program that focuses on a scholarly community and development of the whole student.
