My name is Sofia Cupp, and I will be graduating in 2023 from St. Helena High School. I live in a very small town in Northern California where everybody knows everybody. I also have a twin sister, so it has been very challenging to separate myself from her in the eyes of my parents and within the small community where we live. Sports became an outlet for me to let my individuality shine. Although we’ve always been on the same team, I managed to differentiate myself by playing different positions, gaining unique skills, and bringing my own attitude and mindset to the field. Not only has softball allowed me to shine as an individual, but I also gained important life skills. I learned about hard work and dedication, team work, perseverance, and many more valuable skills that have improved my game play and also my day to day life. These skills have allowed me to better myself mentally and physically in all aspects of my life. I have been able to expand these skills into my other extracurriculars like basketball, making floral arrangements for my schools floral enterprise team, raising goats for FFA, and volunteering at different organizations. I plan to study biology or animal sciences to pursue a career in veterinary medicine in college. I look forward to playing softball at the collegiate level and using it to advance my education. I have always dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, and I am excited by the opportunity to play softball while pursuing my dream.
