Hi Coaches! My name is Isabelle Ornelas and I've been in love with softball for about 13 years. Softball has played a huge role in not only myself but my family as well. My parents have sacrificed 13 years of everything they have so I'm able to play the game I love. Because of the sacrifices they made, I continue the dream we both share, which is playing in college. Ever since I was a little girl I dreamed of playing on a field where I could put my heart in doing what I've loved doing for my whole life. Going into practice and games like if it were my last time playing. Softball has taught me so many lessons throughout my life. It taught me responsibility, discipline and confidence. It's also taught me leadership, commitment and how to be a team player. All these qualities that softball has taught me, carries on to my everyday life.
During these past couple months I've been dedicated and in love with this game more than anytime before. I focused my time on getting stronger mentally and physically. Doing anything I could to get better at home. Giving myself reps, after reps of throwing the ball against the wall or managing using the few weights I have at home. I managed and conquered the feeling of being stronger and better in softball. This shows the dedication and responsibility I put in everything I do. Thank you for taking the time to read this Coach!
