Cheyenne Matyshock '24 Recruiting Profile

I’m Cheyenne Matyshock. My birthday is October 26, 2005; I am 16 years old and I graduate with the class of 2024. I am 5’4, 145 lbs.

I have been playing softball since I was 8 years old. At the age of 8, I began to play travel softball. Grades have always been a top priority of mine; I have maintained a 4.0 GPA while playing travel softball and other school sports in my free time. My freshmen season I earned MLL First Team All League along with MLL Academic All League, and concluded the season with the highest batting average of the Sonora High School Varsity team. After finishing my sophomore  season and second year on varsity, I earned MLL First Team All League and MLL Academic All League again. I also lead the team in batting average again this year.

My dream was the same as all the other 8 year old girls on my team-to play college softball. The difference between them and I is the fact that I have not given up. I work hard both at practice and at home. When I want something, I work hard to get it. In the next few years, I look forward to improving my education along with my softball skills.
