Personal Statement

Growing up around my older cousins who all played baseball, naturally, I got the impulse to play. At the age of 5 I began playing softball and have played ever since. However it wasn't until later that I realized my love for the sport. Playing throughout the years made me realize that I am never satisfied with how I play. I am always trying to find something to work on, to better myself,  to grow and to learn more. I want to dedicate my time and effort into making myself a better player.  After being passed up for the Junior Varsity team I was motivated to work that much harder on the Freshman team.

My overall academic goals are to be successful in any field or feilds of study I enter.  Currently I am unsure what I'd like to do as a future career choice. There are many options I would like to explore. I do know I will accomplish any and all goals I set for myself. Having family, friends and coaches that provide me an encouraging environment helps me grow and mature. That's why the value that's most

important to me is

perseverance.
