Sydney Mathews '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Sydney Mathews. I love softball and play catcher, 1st base, third base, and anywhere else my team needs me to play, but I prefer catcher. I am looking for a college that will fit my love for the game of softball and a great education. A few of the many things that I love about playing a team sport is the friendships I have made, the hard work that we have all put into learning the game and working together.  I am extremely encouraging throughout the ups and downs of the season and work hard to keep my teammates positive.  I also make sure they know that I am there to support them at all times. Win or lose, I am always there with a positive attitude and always looking for the way to improve my game.  I am looking for that school that will not only give me a challenge on the softball field, but also allow me to keep the love of the game alive.  I am looking for a school that will provide opportunities to excel athletically and academically as I prepare for my future career in either digital arts or in education. My desire at any school is to make an impact on a team by bringing my gifts, talents, be there as a strong team player, and give my all to be an outstanding softball player to any softball program.
