Being one of the team captains on a team comes with a lot of hard work and responsibility. I learned that with my role of being a team captain. This role has taught me the importance of leadership, communication, and dedication. I believe I was chosen for this role because I am very dedicated to my grades in school and the way my team practices and performs. Despite my inability to communicate well in front of others, I try my best to communicate well on the field and always cheer on my teammates. My inability to overcome being shy has been an obstacle I have had for a while, but for who am I right now, it has helped me keep attempting to get better at it. I want to get the better of this obstacle to become a better athlete and even a better person to be able to achieve my goal of becoming a veterinarian. I want to go to a school that will not only be good for me athletically and academically, but will also challenge me to keep becoming a better student-athlete.
