Softball is my Life! I hope to one day make sports a part of my career. My mom told me there was never a day when I had no less than 5 different sports balls in my hands and backpack, on my way to the bus. I was voted most Outstanding/Valuable Athlete out of the entire school in 2013. When all is said and done, softball is my passion. On and off the field, whether its sports, academics, or just when being a friend , I feel confident in myself to be able to strive in every way to be there for my teammates.
I would love to study Kinisiolgy or in some type of Physical /sports therapy so that I can help people. I help coach my younger sisters travel softball teams and I have been an Umpire for Rec Softball for 4 years. I was on honor guard in the 8th grade graduation for academics with a 4.0, but I confess that academics took a back seat in High School to sports and I am turning that around this year and making them both a priority. I realized how important school is to succeed in life both academically and socially. After being severely injured half way through the season last year, I did not miss one practice and helped in spirit and encouragement to get the team to playoffs. I work at a job 4 days a week from 5-7 and go straight home and do homework until it is completed every night so that I can keep my grades up this year.
On a daily basis, we are forced to adjust to whatever is happening around us. In softball we re-create these exciting mental and physical aspects and with that, how you react to these could possibly change the whole game. I have pushed myself in school and sports and I’ve worked hard to achieve my highest goals and dreams, while attaining to be the best person I can possibly be. Attending college is my next step and I would like to attend a college that is able to push me on the field and in the classroom.
My Senior Project is a softball camp for all young girls in Tuolumne County Ages 5-14 this spring. THAT....is how much I love softball! Ending my high school career doing what I love.
