My name is Mya Chacon and I am a 2022 graduate. I finished my freshman season with with a .429 BA .550 OBP 11SB and was awarded 1st team All-Conference. Unfortunately due to Covid, I did not get to play my sophomore season but did play exceptionally well this season leading the conference with .591 BA and a .719 OBP. I also had 10 SB and was awarded All-Conference MVP.
I am very proud that all my hard work on the field is paying off but what I am even more proud of is my work in the classroom. I am able to put the same, if not more energy into my academics as I do with softball. I have maintained straight As and a few Bs throughout my high school career and finished my junior year with a 4.6 GPA and my senior year with a 3.9 GPA. I take my academics very seriously and am aware that they are what is going to make me a successful person and a contributing member to society.
I am considering to study Elementary School Teaching. I have chosen this major because one thing I do know is that I want to help people in some way and be a role model to children.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and hopefully you see in me what I have always seen in myself!
