Hi, My name is Destiny Medina, I weigh 105 lbs and 5'3' tall. I am an incoming sophomore at West Covina High School. Last year I played for varsity team for my high school as an outfielder. When I was younger I knew I wanted to play sports but not so sure what kind of sports, since none of my family are in to baseball nor softball, most of them plays basketball until one year when my little brother tried out for little league baseball, I was there every single game and practice and I thought to myself I would like to tryout and play . So year 2018, I played one season of baseball then switched to softball the next season. My coaches said I have a natural talent and could not believed I never played before. I was already 12 years old when I started playing softball . My first year and first season of playing softball, I was chosen to play for Allstars and my team won the 2018 T.O.C. championship, then the following year I moved to another recreational park and played at West Covina girls softball 12U division won the overall 12U division championship and that same year I was chosen again to play for Allstars and my team won the 2019 Allstars championship, that's when I decided to join the travel ball team to get better experience and to enhance my talent level and skills. I currently play for CAL Rebels travel team 14U. This year my team was selected to play at PGF National. I am a lefty and I am notorious for my killer bunts and slap hitting. I am also super fast. In one of my HS games I went 5 for 5 on bunts. Even when the other team knew I was going to bunt I still beat it out due to my speed . It was even written in my high school news paper. Because of my speed I am also a notorious base stealer . I truly have a passion for the sport of softball and my dream is to continue to pursuit my goal and one day play for college softball.
