In college, I plan to study to become a Pediatric Nurse. I'm also open to other medical fields. I want to play softball, do volunteer work, and get out of my comfort zone.
I have been playing softball since I was 7 years old. I have continued to improve over the years and really love the sport. I am currently a starter for Yuba City HS Varsity team as a right fielder and backup catcher. I am also being trained by Taylor Pack, formerly of UCLA and a member of the 2019 NCAA Championship team.
I love to be the spirit of my team. Even when we may lose, I try to keep everyone’s spirits up. I have a very loud and energetic personality and love to cheer my teammates on. If you ever hear our team chant, chances are that I started it. I think that having a positive attitude is really important to have on a team.
I am a utility player and can play every position except pitcher. My preferred positions are catcher, shortstop, and third. I have speed, which helps catch those fly balls in out the outfield. When I’m the catcher, I make sure that the pitcher has someone they can trust to catch their pitch. As my mom says, “Be the wall.”
Though softball is going to be a major part of my college life, academics are number one. As of 2023-24, I am currently in a Junior at Yuba City HS in Yuba City, CA. I am a great student and have maintain a high GPA while enrolled in advanced and AP classes.
I’m excited for my future and all that lies ahead. I want to make sure that the college I choose is not only a good fit for me, but that I am a good fit for them. No matter what, I know I have what it takes to succeed and achieve my goals.
