I started to play softball in Japan where I was born and raised and it has been my passion since. I started as a pitcher and focus on strong fundamental skills and more recently I found the great fun and challenge in playing infield and outfield. I believe I can be great asset to the team with my flexible positioning.
Outside of softball, one of my unique character is I have a multicultural background and am bilingual in Japanese and English. English is my second language. Also the martial art, Kendo, has been a big part of my childhood. It has taught me self-discipline, determination and respect to others. I believe my mental strength is based on this practice called " Kiai - where the spirit meet" in the game of softball. I’m also a member of Denver Taiko, traditional Japanese drumming group and perform in the community. I'm proud of my multicultural background and believe in the diversity in our society. I would like to share my experiences and continue to learn from others.
