Madison Schmidt '15 Recruiting Profile

I have always strived to be the best at everything I do. Whether it be sports, education, or just being a daughter, I hold the value of excelling to a higher standard as the base point. My education has always been my top priority to which I have strived to better myself and expand my opportunities for learning. I have always been very studious (my parents have never had to ask me "is your homework done?"), even from a very young age. In high school I was accepted to the International Baccalaureate program in my sophomore year  and will graduate in 2015 thru the program. My goals are to eventually become a teacher of mathematics or science to help mold the minds of the future and promote a strong work ethic in the generations to come.

The guiding principles that I established for my education has carried over from the classroom to the field, where I have worked diligently to become a student of the game, learning from my experiences, coaches, other players, and professionals. I consider myself (as do my coaches) as a high energy, smart ball player who understands the game and the strategies  to take advantage of almost any situation.  I believe that you can never know enough about the game and its strategies. I plan to continue to learn from those that have the knowledge, and abilities, so that I can one day pass my knowledge and experience on to those that step on the field behind me.
