I fell in love with softball the day I stepped on the field. I knew that I wanted to play softball at the collegiate level from the start. Signing up for travel ball at the age of eight had caused me to grow up fast. I quickly had to learn time management skills in order to stay on top of school work. I have always been told academics come before athletics. This has always pushed me to be the best I can be in the classroom. In the classroom, I have always been complimented on my work ethic and how consistent I am. Taking honor classes and participating in another sport, basketball, challenged me to stay on top of my school work. I find it important to make sure each assignment is completed fully with 100 percent effort each time. On the field, I push myself to be the best teammate I can be. I encourage my teammate to do their best, as well. To me, it’s important to make sure I leave it all on the field if it’s in practice or in a game.
I am looking for a college that fits my academic and athletic standards. Athletically I am looking for a team where everyone has the same goal as I do, and that is to give maximum effort every game, practice, and play. Academically I need to know that after graduating from college I will be in a good place to start my career. I am excited to continue this journey and find the college that is best for me.
