I have been playing softball since I was 4 years old. My parents noticed I needed an outlet for all of my energy. Winning state runners up when I was 8 made me realize how much I loved the game . Getting my first recorded save as a 6th grader for my middle school was another highlight . We went undefeated in our district and I also recorded the save in post district play to win the tournament that same year. I like to challenge myself by setting goals each tournament and also during the summer months to make me better. My fun, quirky attitude helps me during tense games and I can remind my teammates that softball has to be fun too. I work hard and want to keep my high GPA and work ethic through high school and college because my education is the most important thing to me.
I would have to say so far the things I have learned about myself is that I work well under pressure and that I can learn so much from losses too. I love being an underdog and surprising coaches and players. I have learned that no one can be perfect but if I keep working hard and achieving my goals each game, I can come close.
