Basketball was my first love, but I started playing softball in January 2021 and have fallen in love with it. The teammates and the environment are more positive and welcoming. I have been training hard with batting coaches and got to learn from a team that went to the State Final 4 this year. I now want to carry out my dreams of playing at the collegiate level as a softball player. I envision my college years growing as an athlete and toward my profession. The job of a student-athlete is hard, but fulfilling, and I know it is preparing me for the many challenges I will face in life. Although there are tough days, I find joy in improving my game and learning from my coaches and teammates.
As part of a team, I plan to have a positive influence on the field and on the bench. I consistently remind myself to support others on and off the field, knowing my attitude can affect the team, coaches, and others surrounding me. I take pride in being a coachable player, who asks questions and processes the information I get from my coaches.
* Unfortunately, 2022 was not the season I had hoped for due to medical reasons. I am now recovered from knee surgery and have a diagnosis and treatment for a gastrointestinal issue. I am ready play at 110% this season and look forward to showcasing my gains following extensive strength and conditioning training. I will update my video soon.
