My name is Sonata Delain and my goals and aspirations are to absorb everything I can about softball and apply it on and off the field. Additionally, I want to play softball competitively in college as well as graduate with a degree in Music Education and Classical Saxophone.
As an individual, I find myself highly driven and motivated. As well I find that my self-motivation, eagerness to learn and be coached as well as communication on and off the field makes me a good candidate for a team.
As for individuality, I find that what makes me different from other recruits in character, athletics, and academics is my social and positive personality, my experience from other sports as well as being well-rounded.
Having a positive attitude and social personality, as well as experience physically and mentally from Track, Basketball, and Volleyball makes myself different from the normal recruits because with the positive attitude, social personality and experience from other sports physically and mentally, I have been able to apply more to the game of softball having experienced different perspectives and situations of sports.
Additionally, being well-rounded with high grades in rigorous academic courses in the International baccalaureate Program and the Cambridge AICE (Advanced International Certificate of Education) program as well as playing and understanding music allows myself, unlike some other recruits to understand the how academics as well as being well-rounded are important.
