Madelynn Prayto '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coach, 

My name is Madelynn (Maddy) Prayto, and I am a 2026 RHP/Utility.  I was born in Albany, NY and moved to West Melbourne, Florida a year ago. I am a member of the Varsity softball team at Melbourne High School and play travel ball for Adirondack USSSA Pride. I also have played basketball and was active in gymnastics at a younger age. My current focus is on softball and academics, and my family/friends.  I started playing softball and had my first pitching lesson when I was 8 years old.  I have a passion for the game and look forward to being out on the field with teammates or in the bullpen with my catcher. I have been fortunate to be part of so many memorable experiences over the years through softball, making lasting friendships and learning the game from amazing coaches.  My love for the game is hard to put into words.  I am competitive, driven, dedicated, and thrive under pressure. My hope is to play at the highest level in college. I am disciplined and committed to my training, am coachable, have a positive attitude with my teammates and coaches, and am always eager to continue to improve my game.   I began my journey as a Varsity level player in 7th grade as a starting shortstop, third baseman, and pitcher.  As a 7^th grader I was named to the 2nd team all stars, as an 8th grader named to the 1st team all stars, and as a freshman named to the first team all stars and MVP.  At the plate I am reliable, consistent and have quick hands and power. I feel my determination and drive to put in the work helps me strive to do my best each day and achieve my personal goals. Academically, I take honors classes with a current GPA of 3.6, and I am looking to major in business/sports management.
