Madelynn Prayto '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coach, 

My name is Madelynn (Maddy) Prayto, and I am a 2026 RHP/Utility.  I was born in Albany, NY and moved to West Melbourne, Florida a year ago. I have played Varsity level softball since 7th grade in upstate NY for 3 years before moving to Melbourne, Florida in 2024 where I was a starter my sophomore year on the Varsity team at Melbourne High School. I began my journey as a Varsity level player in 7th grade as a starter at shortstop, third base, and pitcher.  That year I was named to the 2nd team all stars, as an 8th grade varsity player was named to the 1st team all stars, and as a freshman named to the first team all stars and MVP.  I play travel ball for Adirondack USSSA Pride and recently this past fall season 2024 with Tampa Mustangs RT 18U.  I also have played basketball and was active in gymnastics at a younger age. My current focus is on softball and academics, my family/friends, and school clubs and activities.  I started playing softball and had my first pitching lesson when I was 8 years old.  I have a passion for the game and look forward to being out on the field with teammates or in the bullpen with my catcher. I have been fortunate to be part of so many memorable experiences over the years through softball, making lasting friendships and learning the game from amazing coaches.  My love for the game is hard to put into words.  I am competitive, driven, dedicated, and thrive under pressure. My hope is to play at the highest level in college. I am disciplined and committed to my training, am coachable, have a positive attitude with my teammates and coaches, and am always eager to continue to improve my game.   At the plate I am reliable, consistent and have quick hands and power. I feel my determination and drive to put in the work helps me strive to do my best each day and achieve my personal goals. Academically, I take honors classes with a current GPA of 3.5 and I am looking to major in business/sports management.
