Have you ever felt late to a party? That’s the way my softball career has been. I am the youngest of five children and our family prioritized a well-rounded educational and childhood experience. I have a well-rounded background because of my involvement and success in scouts, education, teaching youth and children, extensive travel, working two jobs, dual enrollment in high school and college, and playing and leading music at church.
In all these interests and activities, my love has become softball. I have invested time to improve my game over the past two years and have become a passionate and skilled competitor. Unfortunately, our family did not know all the ins and outs of the “standard” recruiting process. My early playing days were on home school teams with limited coaching due to family commitments. We did not play in the camps and travel ball circuit until my junior year and then the COVID pandemic hit. Therefore, I do not have a huge portfolio of statistics and history to review but don’t take that as lack of talent or skill. I am just late to the party.
I have become a strong player. I am a strong RH pitcher with command of a fast, rise, curve, drop and screwball. I play outfield and infield with outfield and first and second base being my preference. I have small ball and long ball skills when batting. I am looking for a chance to join your party. I am a well-rounded girl of passion, strong character, team building and more than anything a learner. If you give me a chance, you will not be disappointed.
