Before I address my collegiate goals and aspirations, I want to briefly discuss my passion for the game of softball. From the moment I made softball a priority in my life, I realized that it was a part of who I am. Playing under the lights, team unity, the cheering, the emotions of the game; it all ties into the excitement that this sport brings to my life.
I have five major goals relating to my college academic and playing career. The first goal related to life after a successful college experience and this goal is to create a self-supporting and stable environment for myself. The second goal, relating directly to the first, is to support my family and community, ultimately giving back to the people that provided me with the opportunities I currently have. Academically, I would like to pursue an area that I have passion for which will allow me to be successful in the classroom and in life. Relative to softball, I would like to compete at the highest level and earn my way to the top. Last, I would like to stay physically and mentally healthy and happy.
There are three major personal attributes that make me a good candidate for any college team. First, I am very much looking forward to the responsibility and challenge of a high level of softball. Additionally, I am confident that I have the appropriate ability and talent to compete at this level. Last, I am a very respectful athlete to both authority, spectators and teammates, both on and off the field. I am a very hard working athlete who has her athletic, academic and life priorities in order.
The first self attribute that differentiates me from other recruits is my leadership and character. I am a leader by example and chose to live off of good values and morals instilled in me by my coaches and parents. Academically, I have already identified my areas of interest in school. I am very much interested in and successful with all areas of history. Additionally, I am able to focus and retain almost all information given to me, especially in the areas I am passionate about. Last, I am a natural athlete with an extremely competitive nature. I very much enjoy being around athletes at my level and also being challenge by athletes who may be at a higher level than I am; ultimately rising to the challenge of being the best player I can be for my team.
