Savana Woods '24 Recruiting Profile

I consider softball to be one of the biggest influences in my life and believe that it has shaped me to be the person I am today. It has taught me perseverance as well as dedication. It has also taught me the value of teamwork. I am looking for a college that will support me academically as well as on the field. 

Law/Sports Management and Health really interest me and I would like to make that a focus for choosing my major. The idea of helping others and pursuing a career in the sports industry has always been a must for me so that is why I take interest in these areas. I prefer to stay in the southeast region of the United States but I will consider other regions for the right opportunity. I would also prefer to play for a school where I can immediately compete for a starting role early in my college career versus a school where it may take a couple of years to get on the field. 

Good grades in high school are very important to me because it reflects who you are as a person and what you value. I was accepted into a highly competitive collegiate program at Lennard High School and I will obtain my Associates Degree upon graduation from high school. I aim to be in National Honor Society while competing in soccer and softball in high school in addition to continuing to play travel softball. I also participate in community programs such as Deputy Darlings which provides Christmas presents for underprivileged children in my community. 

After my collegiate playing career is over, I would like to stay on as a graduate assistant while I pursue my post graduate degree. I believe this will lay the foundation for my success in college and my ultimate goal of pursuing my career.
