I am currently a rising senior pursuing my International Baccalaureate diploma in high school. On a collegiate level I want to make countless contributions to the school I attend for both the community and school itself. I am currently undecided on my major because I remain open to and interested in a wide variety of academic disciplines. As a softball player I value myself primarily as a teammate and how I can contribute overall to the team, whether it be from stellar performance on the field or from support of my teammates from the dugout. I constantly strive to be the loudest voice on the field, the most encouraging voice from the dugout, and the most supportive voice for my teammates. Just as any player I strive for the strongest athletic physique and ability and performance , seeking to be the best, but I also strive to have the strongest spirit and seek to be the best I can be beyond just myself and within the team as a whole. I have a strong drive to be the best possible player I can be, undergoing my own personal training as frequent as possible outside of my team practices and expectations. As an athlete, it is incredibly important for me to help my school's athletic program as a whole succeed. With my high school team we struggled with securing adequate facilities and overall athletic success. Through acquiring these improvements we were able to drive our performance as well, securing the best record in our high school softball team's history. I treasure this philosophy for all areas of athletics and hope to pursue acquiring the best possible facilities and opportunities for my collegiate athletic program in order to help drive the program's success. Beyond athletics I am also a musician, an academic, and a humanitarian. Participation in my college's music and choral scene is incredibly important to me; I have a passion for music and the gifts it can bring, whether it be just the gift of music or the gift of charity and fundraising. It is also a necessity for me to be challenged academically at the school I will attend. I am an avid student who pursues academic excellence and am at the top of my class, taking rigorous academic courses in order to further my intellect. In college I seek to be surrounded by even greater challenging academics as well as like-minded highly intelligent fellow students. Finally, as a person, and a human being, I want to bring meaningful change to the school I will attend. I want to create a more inclusive, nurturing, and diverse environment. Advocacy and humanitarianism is of great importance to me and I am committed to spending time volunteering, petitioning, and amplifying the voices of those around me for positive change. I want to make a positive impact on the world and communities around me through whatever means I can, and my collegiate aspirations are no different. I have participated in a variety of volunteer efforts throughout my high school career dealing with missions ranging from assisting patients at a local hospital to packaging meals for children in other continents. I seek to continue making any positive change I can, whether it be on a local college or worldwide scale.
