Kyrstyn Fisher '17 Recruiting Profile

I intend to earn a degree in sports medicine because I want to be able to help injured athletes get back to their respective sports. I know from personal experience how important sports can be to certain people and being injured and not physically able to participate is possibly more painful than the injury itself. As well as wanting to work in the sports medicine field, my ultimate goal is to become a college softball coach. I want to take both sports medicine and the love of softball and pass my experiences and knowledge on to other girls to help them achieve their dreams and goals. Although high school was more than I originally anticipated, I have made the necessary adjustments and am fully aware of the requirements and demands I must meet in regard to my GPA. I have set my own personal goals and fully intend to reach the highest GPA possible for me and my abilities. I have not yet taken the ACT or SAT but intend to in the spring of 2015, I will also take them my Junior and Senior years of high school as well. As for athletics, I made the Varsity softball team as a freshman and was the starting catcher with some 3rd and infield time. I tied the school’s all-time single-season RBI Record of 23 RBI’s in a very short 24 game season. My own personal goal for my high school softball experience is to break the all-time RBI Record of 54 as well as the all-time Homerun Record of 17. I also received Honorable Mention for State Regional Player of the Year. I have developed an intense passion for the game over the past 9 years. I believe myself to be a team leader with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. I understand the importance of continuing to learn the game and believe wholeheartedly that what we learn on the field we take with us in everyday life. I am hard working, passionate, competitive, coachable, and love being part of a team I strive to be the best on and off the field and work extremely hard to fulfill my goals and dreams.
