May 2020 Personal Statement
My name is Lindsey and I am a Junior at Bremen High School. I am the starting varsity pitcher for my high school team and our program has been doing great. In 2019 (my Sophomore year) we were State Runner Up for Class 2A and I made 1st Team All Region for Class 2A. In 2020 (my Junior year) we finished 4th making it to the Final Four in Columbus. I received Pitcher of the Year for Region 2A and made GHSA's 1st Team All State. I have been playing softball since age 6 and fell in love with pitching at age 9 when I started taking lessons. I currently play travel ball for EC Bullets Ashley and we compete against some of the best travel ball organizations in 18U Gold bracket. I love playing at a high, competitive softball level.
Academically I take advanced classes at my high school where I currently have a 3.9 GPA. I work well to balance my advanced class load and my busy softball schedule. My favorite subject is science and I enjoy learning about our solar system and space.
On the mound my coaches would describe me as having ice in my veins. No situation intimidates me on the mound and I enjoy facing challenging batters. I am good listener and enjoy working hard to be better not only for myself but my coaches and teammates as well. I look forward to extending my softball career and play a game I love while earning my degree.
