I started playing softball in the 4th grade after a friend of mine introduced me to the sport. It didn’t take long before I became addicted to everything about softball; the rush you get after hitting the ball and the cheers we made up in the dugouts. Softball has taught me a couple skills that help me in every aspect of my life. Dedication is my ability to put aside time spent with my friends in order to focus on and push myself towards my goals. Along with dedication, I’ve learned the importance of setting goals, as it has helped motivate me to achieve what I want. In college, I want a coach that will support me on the field as well as in the classroom and I want a team that is hardworking, easy to bond with, and will always be there for me.
My goals for my academics consist of not only doing well in my classes, but excelling in them. I also want to volunteer in my community more, by increasing my participation in Beta Club and the National Honor Society. One of the obstacles I’ve faced in the past couple of years is getting my homework done, while still managing to play softball. I’ve learned that if you really want something, you’ll find a way to do it, if you put in the effort and time, and that’s what I’m doing and will continue to do in the future. You should recruit me because of my dedication, my passion for softball, my positive and uplifting attitude, and my talent as a softball player.
