I have been playing since I could walk! My Father played baseball up through high school & kept playing afterwards in intramurals and the softball rec leagues with our church. My whole family loves & plays. My sister was very good and was second team all Region & captain of her high school team at Cross Creek HS. My brother (12 yrs old) is a very good baseball player & travels as well. We all help each other & practice together.
I started tee ball at 4; pitching at 8; travel ball at 9. I've been slap hitting for approximately seven years. I am a triple threat with a 2.60 second time from home to first. I love it when the opposing team defense comes in to take away my short game & I straight hit it to the fence for a triple or inside the park home run!
I have been complimented every since I can remember about the love & passion that I show while playing this game. I get "dirty" diving to make plays; hustle to the ball; & just show a great instinct for the game that my coaches say just isn't easily taught. I am a member of Fleming Baptist church. Attend our Youth group regularly. Try to give back as much as I can with charities & what not. Our travel team just participated in a soup kitchen recently. Wish I could do more but between school; travel ball; & home chores; there's not much time left!
I'm looking for a college that I can compete for playing time early in my career; who has a chance to compete to advance in the playoffs; and provides me with a great education that I can use after college.
As a freshman I started all 38 games at 3B for Varsity & hit lead off. I batted .417 with a .518 OBP which earned me First Team All County; First Team All Region & Second Team All State. At my end of the year banquet I also received the Defensive POY for Greenbrier HS. My most memorable moment of that season was when I hit a walk off single to win an elite eight game against the defending state champs Northgate HS. That was awesome!! I am so thankful for all the support, help, & training that I've received over the years from my Father; Coaches; trainers; & teammates! Without them; I wouldn't have been able to accomplish these accolades.
As a sophomore I started all 34 games for Varsity & hit lead off. I started 32 games at 3B and 2 at SS when our Senior SS was out with a death in the family. I batted .444 with a .487 OBP for the season that didn't end as we had hoped. We lost in the first round of the state playoffs to Northgate HS who eliminated us this year from the playoffs. We all have to work harder this year to get even better to get back to the elite 8 next season. My most memorable memory of this season was hitting a HR to beat South Effingham HS! It was the go ahead run in the bottom of the 6th inning and we closed it out in the top of the 7th to win the game. That was a lot of fun!!
As a junior I started 40 games for varsity at SS & hit lead off. I batted .532 with a .616 OBP for the season in which our team won the GHSA AAAAA state championship. I was fortunate to break 5- single season offensive high school records & our team broke the single season win total this year going 36 & 6. My most memorable memory was winning the state title and being in the pile of my teammates in the middle of the field after the last out was recorded!!
I'm playing travel ball with the East Cobb Bullets- Legere16U Premier . We placed tied for 33rd in 16U PGF Premier this year. Our team formerly the 98 Ga Force-Legere was the first ASA qualifier in 2013 beating the 98 Ga Impact Gibson in the championship game of that tournament. That makes four years in a row that we've gone to Nationals. We placed tied for 49th in the ASA 14UA Nationals in 2013. We're going to work extremely hard to qualify for ASA Nationals next year and I look forward to making a deeper run in Nationals. We already have our PGF berth and we also look forward to making a deeper run this year there as well!!
If a college were to offer me a scholarship; they would be getting a player who is very competitive; wills herself & her teammates to win; a great teammate; plays huge when the pressure is on; and finally will run through a brick wall for the name on the jersey!!
