Something that has truly changed me as a person was winning the state championship my junior year. It changed me as a player and humbled me as a person, becuase no one thought we could do it, but by working together as a team any goal can be achieved if you work hard enough. That tournament made me truly realize that no matter who says you can not do something, if you work hard enough then that goal you have set can be achieved, no matter what anyone says. Over my 9 years of playing softball I have developed the idea that you can always be better at any skill. Softball is so special to me, because it has taught me numerous skills on and off the field. It has taught me leadership skills, given me the ability to work with others, it has taught me to always stay humble, to never be satisfied once a goal has been reached, and so much more.
Softball has the ability to open doors for my future and I am so grateful for these opportunities. In college I am hoping to study sport medicine because even after my career is over, I still love to be around the game. Coming from a very sport oriented family it has taught me that being a student first and an athlete second is very important to me. I love to work hands-on on the field, but the books will always be the most important in my opinion .
