My name is Chloe Nepveux. I am fourteen- years- old freshman at Mount De Sales Academy in Macon, Georgia. I have played softball since I was four. The ten years that I have played this sport, my love for the game has only grown. I aspire to compete at the collegiate level for softball because I simply love the game and all the opportunities it has given me, not only as a player, but as a person.
My coaches and family are constantly pushing me to be the best student, the best athlete, the best sister, and the best person that I can be. God is who I play for, not the people in the stands or to please my family. Growing up in a Catholic school has definitely impacted my perspective on a lot of things in my life. Being raised in the South, there are four things that one cherishes: 1. God, 2. Family, 3. Academics, 4. Sports. My family has definitely played a huge role in my life and throughout my softball years. My parents are constantly pushing me to be better and to be apart of something bigger than myself. That is why I want to play college ball, to form new relationships with girls from all over the country and to compete at the highest level. Every team that I have played on has been like a big family. The girls are all my sisters, through blood, sweat, tears, wins and loses. I love all the life lessons that this game has taught me..... never quit because the girls behind you need you and you need them, learn from your mistakes and built from them, let things go that you can't control because there is nothing that you can do about it. As a pitcher, I know my job on the field: be a leader, a supporter, and a voice for the team.
My goal is to play at a D1 or D2 school. I am interested in any school willing to have me on their team. Ever since I could remember, I have watched college softball on T.V. . All of the girls simply amazed me by their presence on the field. I realized that those girls put in so much work and effort to get there, and I am willing to put in the time and effort to compete in college. I am constantly striving to be the best person, student, and athlete that I can be because I want to play college softball.
