My intended major is Genetics; however, I am also looking for an exceptionally strong Biology programs with an emphasis in Biological Engineering or Cellular/Molecular Biology and minor in Spanish. In sixth grade, I participated in Science Olympiad. I placed fourth in my event of heredity and that is where I found my love for genetics. Because of this, I researched more into genetics and genetic engineering and decided that I wanted to go into gene therapy and work with genetic diseases.
I work as hard in the classroom as I do on the field. Academics and learning new and interesting things are extremely important to me. Playing softball is a deep passion of mine that I have had since I was five years old. Combining the two, playing softball at the top level and at a school with excellent education, is my ultimate dream . I am a loyal, hardworking, meticulous, and a supportive teammate and student that will make a positive impact on the school, and team, that I ultimately attend.
