Amelia Jimenez '19 Recruiting Profile

As a softball player I would describe myself as determined, motivated and passionate. In my eyes, a good athlete wants to do the best they can, but a great athlete wants their team to be the best they can. Something I want coaches to know about me is that I will push my team in anyway to make them better. I want them to know that I am more focused on team success then my individual.  One thing softball has taught me is to look at the bright side of everything. This sport has shown me that everything is a mental game, and that you need to be able to push yourself mentally to succeed.  It has also showed me that the meaning of excitement and passion, loving everything about the sport and feeling the adrenaline when you play. I'd like to be known as the person that never wanted it easy. I want to be pushed to my limits, I want to be challenged.  As an student athlete I think that's very important. Wanting to challenge yourself on the field and the classroom is a big key.
